Terms of Service
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These terms govern your use of the SMTC platform (the “Service”), operated by SMTC (“SMTC”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company.
1. What the Service is
SMTC helps overseas car dealers find used cars in Korea and arrange their export. Through the Service you can search for cars, receive price information, and place orders that SMTC then handles with you.
The Service is intended for businesses that buy cars for resale. It is not offered to consumers buying a car for personal use.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used for fraud or abuse.
3. Car information and prices
Vehicle details, photos and prices shown in the Service are provided for information and may come from third-party sources. We work to keep them accurate, but availability and prices can change until an order is confirmed. The price and terms that bind both parties are those stated on the order or invoice that SMTC issues to you.
4. Orders, payments and cancellation
- An order becomes binding when SMTC confirms it to you in writing.
- Deposits, inspection fees, payment deadlines, and any refund conditions are stated on each order or invoice. Unless the order says otherwise, a deposit is not refundable if you cancel after confirmation.
- Full payment is due before the vehicle is shipped, as set out on the invoice.
- Shipping, insurance, import duties and taxes in the destination country are your responsibility unless the order states otherwise.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of export or import laws;
- copy, scrape or resell data from the Service without our written permission;
- interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
6. Liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, SMTC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for a transaction is limited to the amounts you paid to SMTC for that transaction.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent by replying to any email you have received from SMTC. See also our Privacy Policy.
